PPL (Professional Parcel Logistic) is a major courier service provider in the Czech Republic. This article focuses on specific information regarding a custom contract with PPL in Retino.

Supported Shipping Types with PPL

  • Pickup - a PPL courier will pick up the package at the customer's address (Parcel Business Pickup)

PPL, through MyAPI, currently does not support Drop-off (delivery to a branch) as a selectable shipping type within the portal.

Supported Shipping Directions

From → To: CZ → CZ

PPL supports only domestic shipping within the Czech Republic.

Specific Setup Steps

  1. In the Settings > Shipping section, add a new contract and select PPL Parcel Business Pickup

  2. Fill in the Customer ID, Username, and Password

Note: PPL does not require pre-printed labels - the courier will bring their own label for filling upon pickup.

Troubleshooting Specific Issues with PPL

Cannot Connect to API

If you encounter an API connection error:

  • Verify the accuracy of the entered credentials

  • Ensure your credentials have sufficient permissions for the MyPPL API

  • Contact PPL technical support

Specific Information on Tracking Shipments

The MyPPL API currently does not support automatic shipment status updates, therefore statuses are not automatically updated in Retino. Customers can track their shipments directly on the PPL website using the link available in the ticket detail.

Specifics of the Pickup Process

After ordering shipping, a PPL courier will arrive at the customer's address during standard delivery hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) to pick up the prepared package. A specific time slot for pickup cannot be pre-booked.

Cancelling Shipments

The current Retino implementation does not support shipment cancellation via API. If a shipment needs to be cancelled, contact PPL customer support.
