If you're using Retino Tracking to send transactional emails, it's important to disable automatic emails directly in your Shoptet administration to prevent customers from receiving duplicate messages.
Important: Before disabling emails in Shoptet, ensure that your transactional emails are correctly configured and activated in Retino Tracking. Detailed instructions are available in the article Transactional Emails in Retino Tracking.
Disabling Transactional Emails
Log in to your Shoptet store administration.
In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
Select the Emails option.
Choose the Automatic Sending tab.
Here, you'll see a list of various automatic emails your store sends. Emails are categorized into two tabs:
"System Action" Tab
For each email on this tab:
Click the email name.
Remove all recipients of type "Customer".
Save the changes.
"Order Statuses" Tab
For each email on this tab:
Click the email name.
Delete the entire email template.
Save the changes.
Which Emails to Disable?
Specifically disable these email types, which are replaced by transactional emails in Retino Tracking:
Order Notification - replaced by "Order Confirmation" in Retino
Payment Confirmation - replaced by emails on payment status change
Order Dispatch - replaced by emails on fulfillment status change
Order Status Change - replaced by various transactional email types
Benefits of Using Retino Tracking Instead of Shoptet Emails
Consistent Design - all emails have a professional and consistent look
Improved Personalization - more options for dynamic content and conditions
Detailed Statistics - track opens, clicks, and delivery rates
Shipment Linking - automatic tracking links and delivery information
Centralized Management - all automatic emails in one place
Important Considerations
Testing: After disabling emails in Shoptet, place a test order to verify that transactional emails from Retino Tracking function correctly.
System Emails: Some system emails (e.g., customer registration, password reset) should not be disabled unless you have a replacement. These are not part of order transactional emails.
