Easily manage users with access to your Retino Returns account. Role-based system provides full control over individual team member permissions.

User Management

To manage users, navigate to Settings > Team in your Retino Returns administration. Here, you'll see a list of all current users and their roles. On this page, you can:

  • View all existing users

  • See their assigned roles (Agent or Manager)

  • Invite new users

  • Change the role of an existing user

  • Revoke user access

User Roles

Two fundamental user roles exist in Retino Returns:

Role

Permissions

Agent

  • Access and manage tickets

  • Communicate with customers

  • Manage shipping

  • Create and manage documents

  • Work with products

  • No access to team settings, billing, and refunds

Manager

  • All Agent permissions

  • Manage team (add and remove users)

  • Access billing

  • Access refunds

  • System configuration

  • Access to all application sections

Note: Managers have access to all system areas, including sensitive settings. Assign this role only to team members who truly need it.

Adding a New User

To add a new team member:

  1. Go to Settings > Team

  2. Click the Invite User button in the top right corner

  3. Enter the new user's email address

  4. Select the desired role (Agent or Manager)

  5. Confirm the invitation

The new user will receive an email invitation with instructions on how to log in to your Retino Returns account.

Changing a User's Role

To change an existing user's role, locate the user in the list:

  1. Find the desired user in the list

  2. In the right-hand column, click the dropdown menu for the current role

  3. Select the new role (Agent or Manager)

  4. The change will take effect immediately

Removing User Access

To remove a user's access:

  1. Find the desired user in the list

  2. Click the Revoke Access button in the right-hand column

  3. Confirm the action in the dialog box

Warning: Revoking access is irreversible. If the user needs access again in the future, you will need to invite them to the system again.

Access Rights and Security

Important considerations:

  • Only Manager users can manage the team and add new users

  • Agent users cannot access this page or the API

  • Each user logs in with their own credentials, enabling tracking of individual user activities

  • For security, regularly review the list of users and their roles

Best Practices for Team Management

  1. Principle of least privilege - grant users only the rights they need to perform their tasks

  2. Regular reviews - periodically check the user list and revoke access for those who no longer need it

  3. Documentation - maintain an up-to-date record of users and their roles outside the system for reference

  4. Training - ensure all users are properly trained in system usage according to their role
