User Roles
Two fundamental user roles exist in Retino Returns:
Role | Permissions |
Agent |
|
Manager |
|
Note: Managers have access to all system areas, including sensitive settings. Assign this role only to team members who truly need it.
Adding a New User
To add a new team member:
Go to Settings > Team
Click the Invite User button in the top right corner
Enter the new user's email address
Select the desired role (Agent or Manager)
Confirm the invitation
The new user will receive an email invitation with instructions on how to log in to your Retino Returns account.
Changing a User's Role
To change an existing user's role, locate the user in the list:
Find the desired user in the list
In the right-hand column, click the dropdown menu for the current role
Select the new role (Agent or Manager)
The change will take effect immediately
Removing User Access
To remove a user's access:
Find the desired user in the list
Click the Revoke Access button in the right-hand column
Confirm the action in the dialog box
Warning: Revoking access is irreversible. If the user needs access again in the future, you will need to invite them to the system again.
Access Rights and Security
Important considerations:
Only Manager users can manage the team and add new users
Agent users cannot access this page or the API
Each user logs in with their own credentials, enabling tracking of individual user activities
For security, regularly review the list of users and their roles
Best Practices for Team Management
Principle of least privilege - grant users only the rights they need to perform their tasks
Regular reviews - periodically check the user list and revoke access for those who no longer need it
Documentation - maintain an up-to-date record of users and their roles outside the system for reference
Training - ensure all users are properly trained in system usage according to their role
